It isn't often that one hears a man talk about another man's derriere in a positive manner, but actor David Arquette, who was recently named to the Season 13 cast of "Dancing With The Stars," had no problem doling out his admiration for a fellow contestant's posterior during a recent appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman." He added that it might be a "secret weapon" for the reality show star.
On Wednesday night's episode of "Letterman," Arquette and his host began discussing the upcoming season of "Dancing With The Stars." After Letterman expressed incredulity that there was another Kardashian making the rounds ("What are they making them? They got a factory someplace?"), the 39-year-old Arquette continued offering insights into his dancing competitors and their chances of winning. Not only did Arquette tell the talk show host that Rob Kardashian had a "great ass," but the garrulous actor made the same assessment about Kardashian's sister.
"The thing about Rob is, and a lot of people don't know this," he observed, "but he's got a great ass just like his sister."
Both Rob and his sister, Kim, have been the center of media stories about the low regard they have for their own rear ends -- although opinions from secondary sources seem to take a more favorable view.
"I'm serious!" Arquette told the roaring audience. "Once you see it, his ass is fantastic. And I really think it's going to be a secret weapon."
The 39-year-old Arquette, known for his appearances in the "Scream" franchise and dozens of other popular movies (not to mention his high-profile marriage and separation drama with actress Courtney Cox), seems to have a higher opinion of Kim Kardashian's brother than do professional oddsmakers, who gave him 15/2 odds of winning the "DWTS" mirror ball trophy this season. Bodog.com lists Italian actress and model Elisabetta Canalis as the odds-on favorite to win (3/1), despite the 24-year-old Kardashian's "secret weapon." It is uncertain if Canalis' model's derriere was considered in relation to Rob Kardashian's (or any of the other contestants' rumps, for that matter) in the odds assessment.
But it is obvious that David Arquette believes it a dancing asset worthy of consideration.
No word as yet on whether or not Rob K. -- or Kim K. -- have the same respect for the "Ready To Rumble" actor's bum.
Season 13 of "Dancing With The Stars" kicks off on September 19.
