COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) ? Despite a national trend of sharply rising gas prices this summer, Ohio drivers are paying slightly less at the pump this week than last.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.74 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's down about 12 cents from 3.86 last week.
The slight dip comes amid rising prices this summer due to problems with refineries and pipelines in the West Coast and Midwest.
The average gas price in Ohio is 20 cents more than a year ago.
Nationally, the average price for regular gas is about $3.70 ? 8 cents higher than last week. The national average last year at this time was about $3.60.
